Higher Diploma in Information Technology and Higher Diploma in Computer Science

Hey,

Im currently considering studying in the IT area, I have been refered to these 2 diplomas, doing one after the other and then maybe a masters.

Was just wondering how difficult these higher diplomas are? What would be required of me in these diplomas (have already looked on the site) and would I be better off at all to just do the computer science degree offered at NUIM?

I know someone who did the HDip in IT then the masters.

The HDip in IT gets you up to roughly 3rd Year CSSE level in one year. The HDip in CS is made up of 4th Year CS modules (so you need the CS background, or the HDip in IT first).

I knew the majority of that before, just wondering if the work load is equivalent to the work of the 3 years combined or roundabouts?
