I'm going to ask the mods for a bit of leniency here due to my location and financial situation.. I couldn't find a back specialist if I tried nor afford the many extremely expensive visits one of the big hospitals would put me through. I'm not going to sue anybody from here either.

Basically, it's an exceptionally sore point... like a pin point along my right shoulder blade when I lean over or move my head fully to the right..

My only question and the only medical advice sought is do massages and stretching generally help this sort of thing or make it worse? Tempted to get a proper massage in a hope that it could relieve it. That's my only question.

as someone who suffers with back pain , the only advice i can give you is under no circumstances should you see a chiropractor , i saw one last year and he made my back far worse , theese people are QUACKS and con artists

layman here of course but i did have that pinpoint pain once in my back, as i thought, but i went to my gp who's also a physio and he found i had a trapped nerve between 2 ribs even though the pain seemed in my back.
it only came on when i moved a certain way.
Anyway there was no treatment it just sorted itself out.

hopefully yours will too but if it persists do your best to see a professional,
hope things improve for you financially....

Ok, I think I will give in another couple of weeks so before looking out for everything... Trapped nerve seems plausible since it started from sitting in a leaned over position for a very long time. Building a website.

I just look weird on my motorbike really upright and I can't play pool but I'll survive.

have mental picture of you riding bolt upright on an R1:D

weeks seems a long time for recovery, the other bit of advice i'd give you is to make sure you are not dehydrated. this causes muscle contraction and can lead to spasm.

I'm afraid location or financial location does not make posters here any more qualified to diagnose the issue or give you advice that won't make the situation worse.

You must make an appointment with a professional who can examine your injury.

    All the best.
