Anyone give me a quick opinion on this car.

I'm guessing that the 2.0 TDi is the same engine as in the Audi A4 ?

Is the market for these cars over priced ? A lot of 08s and 09's with 40k up on them cost between 20k and 25k. Wouldn't be far off 3 series Coupe for that money.

Nice looking car from most angels except the rear and still pretty much a rare sight on these shores. Yes, 2.0 TDi is the newer CR unit. Running gear is pretty much the same as the standard Passat too. Irish ones actually are higher spec than UK imports. Irish models have half leather seats as standard whereas UK models don't.

Just be aware that 08/09 models were 4 seater only, ie the rear seats were designed for 2 people only which can be a PITA depending on your circumstances. Rear seats were changed to standard 2 with 1 in the middle in 2010 when it got a very mild facelift.

I think due to their rareness here the prices of them are staying a bit high in the short term but long term I don't think they would keep their value similar to a BMW E92 which would be more desireable.

I rarely have people in the back of the car. While not near as practical, the rear setup in the older models does look classier.

I'm guessing that the interior doesn't hold up near as well as the E92.

German interiors are not what they used to be across both cars and I have an E90.

The CC is overpriced IMO. I would prefer to spend a few quid more and get something nicer.

Everyone on here will know me as a hater of most things VAG, but I must admit to being quite taken by the Passat CC.

I walked past a black one the other day and I have to say it did look pretty good. Do they drive better than normal passat - Have they firmed up the suspension a bit? 4 frameless doors too which is nice.

A basic 3 series coupe will have a really terrible interior compared to many cars.

This is another thing I'm wondering. Would be a complete waste of time if it handled like a standard Passat, especially considering the difference in price.

There is an option for adjustable suspension on the CC. The normal Passat has the option of factory sports suspension which lowers it by 15mm

Not really. I think they are relatively different. I seen a few of them with a R line pack. They look really well especially with the pano roof.

The first link is for a 2008 passat cc which is selling for 4,000 Euro more than the second one - this despite it being a year older and twice the mileage , what justifies the price difference on what otherwise seem to be identical cars ?
Forgive me if I am missing the bleeding obvious

Really ? The headlights are incredibly similar. Similar radiator grilles too. Same general shape to the body from a 3/4 view.

Second one is very cheap, sounds like a scam. Look at the contact details: Call ref: Passat CC: 085 xxxx

Ah , well it did seem strange there was such a disparity in price , is it significant that the seemingly cheaper and better vehicle has been up on donedeal for 49 days ?
    Thanks for the reply

At the end of the day...Its still a Passat.
When i see one i always think "Junior Management"...ie. just slightly above a rep-mobile
I would have one if it were given to me, but i wouldnt buy one.
Much more interesting cars out there.
