Went to a meeting today in Croydon, flew Glasgow to Gatwick on a BA 737 this morning. Waiting for the return home this evening, the 17:10 Gatwick to Glasgow and we were got a bus to this aircraft

I was like a child in a sweet shop as I tend to fly the boring 737 and A320 stuff. It got even better when BA allocated me 2K which is this thing

It transpired that our return 737 developed a fault and BA had this 777 spare and got the crew in to staff it and flew us all to Glasgow and they upgraded a number of passengers including me to these lovely comfortable seats /beds! Fair play to BA for giving me an experience that I probably would never had a chance to have.

It certainly made flying on a Friday evening for work much more bearable :)

I did a LHR-YYZ courtesy of a WT+ to Club World upgrade. We had the middle two seats which initially seemed crap but travelling as a couple meant a mostly private experience since the two aisle seats were separated by movable dividers. Lots of nice features like flat seat and noise cancelling headphones which do make quite a difference.

I wish I had $3500 rather than $1700 a head to make that trip but while cushy it ain't worth the difference!

Those seats are all produced in Kilkeel, Co Down. Brother in law works in the place. Told me they make seas for a lot of big airlines, can't remember the name though.
