Trade in value

Guys was wondering if you could help me out. I'm in the market for a 7 seater and am leaning towards a Ford Galaxy, won't be new but maybe 06-07 reg. What type of price can i expect for my own car if Garage accepts trade's. Xsara Picasso 1.6, 2002, NCT 02/12 and 97k 0n clock, silver colour and in good condition a few marks nothing major, new tyres at xmas and serviced then also. Have misplaced the service book, hoping i can find it. Just don't want the hassle of trying to sell it after new purchase.

Any ideas or comments welcome + any advice on 7 seater still open to ideas on other models.

People get too obsessed with the price the garage allow them for their own car and forget what it is actually costing them. The only figure that matters is the money the garage want with your old car for the new one.

One garage could allow you €10k for your Picasso but they might be looking for €40k for the Galaxy meaning they want €30k whereas another garage might only allow you €5k and want €25k from you for their Galaxy.
