Need A Cleanser

    Hi everyone :)
I've been on the hunt for a good cleanser for...well...ever. I've not found anything that I've liked enough to repurchase though :(

My skin is super dry but's done what I'd like. t I'm prone to the odd blackhead at the sides of my nose, have HUGE pores and get those weird little white spots under the surface. Also, it's sensitive.

I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions? Thanks!

I use a Nivea cleanser and I find it excellent...Its a mid blue colour, a gel which is soap free and good on sensitive skin....Must look up the name...will get back to you

are you certain you have dry skin? you can have oily skin but still get flaky patches because the skin is lacking water. Or is it combination? this might explain dry areas but also having blackheads etc.
the type of cleanser you need also depends on weather you wear makeup on a daily basis or not.
if you are sure its dry avoid using soaps or face washes, switch to a cream cleanser. it also depends on the price range you want: garnier do a nice one in a pink container quite cheaply or you could go for something like vichy or la roche posay. personally I have found the loreal demaq expert range to be excellent

I'd be pretty sure it's dry, I had just thought that the blackheads are just a product of being terrible at remembering/being able to to take my make-up off some nights. Also been told it's dry.
I should have mentioned that I can't use brands that test on animals, I think the cream cleanser is a good idea though! :)

I currently use this boots cucumber moisturising lotion for taking off make-up and I find it great. It's cheap too, about €2 in Boots.

    http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Essentials-Cucumber-Moisturising-Lotion-150ml_869645/

I also use these Boots cucumber wipes and find them very good

    http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Essentials-Cucumber-Wipes-25-pack_1043955/

I've also used this Clarins cleanser/toner and to be honest, I find the Boots cucumber one to be just as good, but for less than a quarter of the price

    http://www.salonskincare.co.uk/product_info.php/cPath/39_120/products_id/14293

I have dry/combination skin and use the following products (in this order) and find them very good. Expensive, but worth it.

    1) http://www.clinique.co.uk/product/1572/8279/3--step/Step-1-Cleanse/Liquid-Facial-Soap/index.tmpl <- I use cotton wool and sweep this over my face with just a little bit of the soap, you don't need a whole lot

    2) I then rinse my face (using my hands) with luke warm water and pat dry with a soft cloth

    3) After patting my face dry, I use this lotion on my face, just one sweep across your face is all you need - http://www.clinique.co.uk/product/1573/15502/3--step/Step-2-Exfoliate/Clarifying-Lotion-2/index.tmpl after applying the lotion to my face I wait for a few minutes and let it soak into my skin before applying moisturiser

    4) I apply the moisturiser; http://www.clinique.co.uk/product/1574/5223/3--step/Step-3-Moisturize/Dramatically-Different-Moisturizing-Lotion/Very-Dry-to-Dry-Combination-Skin-Types/index.tmpl

After applying the moisturiser, I wait for a few minutes before applying make-up (if I am wearing make-up).

If you/someone you know is going through duty-free, get them (if you can) to get the Clinique products in duty-free as they are a lot cheaper than in shops.

I got the moisturiser (125ml), lotion (400ml) and soap (200ml) for about €60 back in February, the moisturiser alone for the 125ml pump is about €50 in stores (Debenhams, Clearys, BT's etc).

You can see on Arnotts website, the price of the items individually are pretty expensive compared to duty free.

    The products in Dublin Airport

I'm on a bit of a budget and have t-zone skin which is a pain in the neck.
I use tesco's daily clear skin ( i think thats what it's called) I use the exfoliater and the matte face moisturisers. I LOVE them.
Its the best moisturiser I have used on my face ever. and its less then a tenner for the two of them !!!

I love this cleanser. Used it twice a day and it lasted me for 4-5 months. You can get it on amazon or in health stores. It's about €12-14.

I use Lush Ultra Bland every day and I also used Lush Angels on Bare Skin fairly often.
Ultra Bland is a simple cleaner and I love it. My skin is patches of oily and dry too and I find it doesn't aggravate matters. :)
Angels.. is a scrub and I love it. I just keep forgetting to use it. >.<

I use Soap and Glory Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser and I love it! It doesn't dry out your skin and leaves it lovely and soft. It's about €12 but they often have offers on in Boots, last week it was 8 something!

I have very similar skin type... congested, due to combination skin. The oil gets trappe by the dead dry cells and blocks it up. I find the Lancome Galateis Doceur. It's for all skin types and it is amazing at removing makeup. It doesnt cause any fuss for your skin either!!! Its €22.50 for 200ml, €32.50 for 400ml

Neutrogena have really nice cleansers (the grapefruit scrub comes to mind) and last for ages too! Also, St. Ives Apricot Scrub is very good on bigger pores (I have a friend who swears by it, and the difference is noticeable so something is working!).

I've actually been hearing great things about both. I've got a points voucher for when you spend a score on number 7 as well. This is going to be difficult!
