Why does the market for laptops here in ireland suck so bad?
i bought a gateway laptop 4gb of ram, powerful processor, ATI radeon graphics card and a 19" screen for $450 2 years ago, for the same price over here, today, the best thing you can get is half of that?

Is there any reason for the lack of advancement? or am i just looking in the wrong places?

Ireland is very costly. That's the reason. That and "taxes" for "importing" and all that rubbish.

All of the above and the fact that we're a very small market.
