Are aib online savings state guarnateed?

I have an online savings account with AIB. With all the bad news about AIB lately I'm just wondering are online savings accounts with AIB state guaranteed and are they safe? What would happen to them if AIB went bust?

Yes, yes and not going to happen (but you would be recompensed to the maximum value set by the guarantee).
