    Thanks

Lovely course played it last year towards the end of the year and it was in fabulous nick. I thought it played very long but I'm not a huge hitter so it might be fine for you.

Its quite open the course but the weather is meant to be swell so you should be fine!

Enjoy and post your score in the score thread!

I played it with the free fourball from on here a few weeks ago. Great course and its very fair.
If your wild off the tee the fescue grass will kill you though so worth keeping it tight untill you know how your day is going.

Don't remember it being too complicated but

The on the 1st you could cut the dog leg by going over the bunker but the approach from the right of the bunker is good so maybe just best to take that route.

On the 3rd the bunker straight ahead is easily reachable (I didn't cop this and went straight in with 18* recovery) so you need to keep it right of this bunker with a drive.

On the 10th you are best to stay short of the tree just in case you get blocked.

On the hole with the water on the left (I think its the 16th) the end of the dog leg is reachable and the water is a huge carry so it kinda forces you to lay up on the fairway right of the water.

The 18th is a 3 shot Par 5 for sure, very risky to go for in two and you would really have to be huge.

Really nice course, stay out of the thick stuff though :p

Realised as I drove into the carpark that I had, in fact, played Moyvalley before :o

It was about 3/4yrs ago and I recall that I played so bad I can only assume I blocked the place out of my memory!

Really enjoyed it today, got lucky-ish with the weather (was wet to begin with but dried up after 4/5 holes and was quite nice after that) and played pretty darn good.

All kph's advice was spot on and I only hit the driver 5/6 times at most. Hit my 17* Rescue off alot of tees and I felt that keeping it in play was a big help.

Shot 36pts with two terrible scratches - both on par-fives that I had a shot on :( - so really felt it coulda been more.

Highlight of the round was a lovely six-iron approach to 10, right over the pin. Then, just as I'm feeling delighted with myself, one of my playing partners holes his second shot on the same hole for an eagle, the git! :o

I birdied that hole on my way to 20pts on the back-nine having turned with 16.

Lovely course, €20 for the Open too - a bargain... still, so disheartening to see a practically empty course... the chap in the ProShop said they had 25 booked in but he assumed there's be plenty of cry-offs once people saw the weather this morning (although it turned out quite nice).
