UPC Question

Been with upc for years but am thinking of getting rid of the tv package and just keeping on the broadband. I recently upgraded to their HD box and got an additional box for the bedroom.

My question is, when I got a new box installed it ties me into a new 12 month contract. If I go to cancel the tv package now will they charge me a cancellation fee or just a downgrade fee as I'm still keeping the broadband?

You need to pay a downgrade fee per package, but you may be still locked in contract which wont matter if you keeping the bb anyway.

Just tell them you cant afford it anymore. They'll lower the price for you.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm actually ditching the digital and getting a fta system. UPC seem to just increase their prices and offer less value in the digital tv area lately, but that's a whole different debate.

If I cancel the tv altogether do they come out and remove the points from the rooms?

No they will just disconnect you from the point's outside your house... Nothing stopping you re-connecting them tho for analogue.:)

But I'm keeping the broadband so they won't disconnect it outside!
