When a business gives collective redundancies to it's staff citing lack of business therefore the business premises is closing down is there a time limit for when that business premises must stay closed??
For instance, can a business close a site for 'x' amount of time to get rid of long term staff on old contracts and reopen again with new staff on less money and more flexible contracts (in favour of the company)?

The same business more than likely cant, but a new business can.

ie; you are employed by boards ltd and they let you all go, a new company boards 2011 ltd starts up with the same directors and the same place and its a different legal entity.
