    Hi all,

First time posting here but Im desperate for help. I have been claiming JSA for 2 years and I was offered a full time job for around 6 months which I started this week.

However the job hasnt turned out quite how I thought it would. I feel miserable and stressed already due to a number of factors, and I fear for my mental health if I continue with it. I feel like I have made a horrible mistake and wish I could claim JSA again.

Is there anything I can do? All comments would be much appreciated

first things first you only started the job this week it takes longer than a week to settle into a new working environment realistically you need to at least give it a month or two before you will feel comfortable there and confident that you know what your doing

secondly why isnt it working out for you what has happened in less than a week that makes you think you have made the wrong decision

regarding your jsa there is a possibility that you wont be eligible for it as you walked out of a job so you may have to wait anything up to or over 9wks for it to be reinstated or you may not get it at all it depends on your personal circumstances

did you sign off the social welfare because if you have only been in the job a week and didnt let your welfare office know that you where now working and signed off then you payment should still be in the post office for this week therefore you could just leave your job and continue to collect your payment in the post office each week and no one would be any the wiser

If OP did this they would be committing fraud. SW will be informed by revenue if OP was in work and receiving Jobseekers at the same time which will lead to an investigation of their claim.

is it the management giving you a hard time? if that's the case then you could just try putting your foot down and if they consequently fire you then it's their loss, not yours.

    hi everyone

Its an area of work I used to work until about 7 years ago but I left because I was fed up with it, poor pay the main reason. I returned to it out of desperation because I couldnt get anything else. Maybe I was looking at it with rose tinted specs But Ive made a big mistake, I feel depressed working there already and never want to work in this sector again. If I got fired can I still claim jsb again?
