Malfeasance in Public Office

Does anyone know of any Irish cases on this tort?

Could Bertie, Brian & Co be charged with it?

I know that it can be notoriously difficult to prove, and whatever damages we got would be a pittance compared to what they did to the country, but is there a basis for a case?

I personally would be happy to pay 1% more tax to fund a case against them, even if it failed, just to know that we had tried to bring them to account in a court of law. If it succeeded Bertie would lose his home, wouldn't get us out of this mess, but might make us feel better.

Surely the Irish people deserve to see the likes of Bertie have to defend themselves in a court of law?

Anyone think of any better provisions to sue them under?

Did we suddenly become a county in Alabama?

Is it because I called it malfeasance instead of misfeasance?
