hey all not sure if this is the place to ask but--

Ive always used p20 suncream im very pale and find its the only one that I dont end up scalded with.

Have just heard that it actually doesnt have a good uva protection- any ideas if this is true?

If so can anyone recommend something apart from staying inside on holidays that will stop the dreaded burning???

I was also a fan of P20 but I came across PizBuin recently. It has uva/uvb protection. This one is factor 30 but I've seen it higher. Lovely texture and not greasy. Absorbs easily into the skin.
I'm not sure about the uvb protection in p20 though.

I think Nivea is really good. I use factor 30 invisible spray on my body and carry around the Kid's pocket size lotion factor 50 for my face. I've really sensitive skin and find the Kid's lotion to be one of the only sun creams that doesn't give me spots or a rash. It says UVA and UVB protection on the bottle, and I know how good it is because I've seen a perfect example of it in action. I went down the beach for a good 5 hours, had a friend apply the nivea spray to my back. Turns out it wasn't done properly and later at home I had a patch of perfect skin on my back surrounded by really bad burning from where the spray hadn't been applied properly. As I'm very pale it was a clear bright red vs. white, so I'm thankful now for how good it is on the parts I applied it! Had no idea it makes such a difference :)

Just looked at my bottle of P20 and there is both UVA and UVB on it.

I find it great stuff, one application a day and off you go.

I'm a big fan of Hamilton suncream - can be bought in Brown Thomas. I use the SPF 50 it's great and free of chemicals so no nasty reactions.

Thanks for all the replys- after having another look at the p20 apparently the UVA protection is there just not high enough which is why it allows tanning? Very confused! I've used the clear sprays before and ended up burning pretty quickly even though it was factor 50 - it was in Australia so could just be the big auld hole in the ozone- it was winter there though.

Fair skin plus sun equals pink glowing skin!!

I hear Parasol is better for the UVA cover.

I get my P20 here, they often have discount codes so it's even cheaper. I find it's better value than in the chemists. http://www.feelunique.com/brands/riemann
