Insuring belongings ? Laptop/cameras

    Heading to Brisbane in June with my GF , We both with be bring our cameras and laptops with us , any one know of some specialist insurance companies either here or in Australia that would be able to cover these , total value is €3k of electrical goods

    we wont be back packing , have a house to live in and will be looking for place of our own then shortly after

    Can contents insurance be got by non residents ?

    contenst insurnace is your best bet once your over there. i dont think they would have an issue with you being a non resident. We wouldnt have that issue here.
    but if you email a couple of brokers/companies before you go and double check.
    there isnt any policy you can take for Electirc Goods any way

    AAMI do contents insurance for renters. There's a lot more on offer for homeowners.

    ill look into that , was checking into travel insurance and it wasn't worth it at all for what we have
