Post maintenance checks, then back to Dublin.

I live in south mayo and not on the flight path into knock. However since flights began 2 years ago (and increase in summer) to portugal and canary islands i often see ryanair planes over my house.

Knocks 27/09 runway is an East West facing runway(as im sure your well aware of)When a Ryanair(or any jet) approaches from the South Shannon Control will often break him off right, well south of the field and get him to ENULA to establish on the ILS.Othertimes mabey due traffic they will head directly over the field and establish outbound and then onto the ILS etc etc. When flying VFR to Knock from the South/East you enter their zone via Ballyhaunis.

I've done the Faro route several times, and also noticed on the other Spanish routes that they tend to route over Ballinasloe then towards Ballyhaunis(sometimes Castlerea) and onto Boyle before turning for the ILS approach.

outbound Kilkelly - Claremorris, sometimes as far out as Ballinrobe, then onto the Oranmore area
