Co Down man dies on charity bike ride

    A man from Co Down has died in north Wales while taking part in a sponsored bike ride to raise money for charity.

    27-year-old Gareth Crockett from Moira was killed when his bicycle collided with a car.

    The 77-year-old driver of the car was arrested and bailed, pending further inquiries.

    Mr Crockett's sponsored ride began in Belfast and was due to end with this weekend's London Marathon.

    He was with a group of five trying to complete the challenge.
