Hi, I'm looking at maybe buying this tv just for my bedroom, ps3, xbox, dvd's http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-32LD490-Widescreen-Internet-Freeview/dp/B0043M669A

I'm just wondering what channels are available on the Freeview and are they already tuned in or do i have to do that myself? And what is the Internet TV like?

The TV will mostly be used for gaming and dvd's but i would like a decent amount of channels to keep me entertained.

    Any help is much appreciated.

You'd have to tune them in yourself by doing a digital search. Why not just get the cheaper 32LD450 which is exactly the same tv without the useless here, freeview hd tuner. Also, i believe i hard the 490 variant has some small isue picking up saorview whereas the 450 doen't. Oh, and the 32LD450 is also 50£ cheaper. There is zero reason to get the 490 variant, other than the fairly limited internet content. If you would have no interest in that, get the 450

Now when you say tune in, do you need an aerial positioned on top of chimney down to tv or just a rabbits ears?

Depeneds on the strength of signal in your area, a rabbits ears may be sufficient but then again it may not be, its all down to location. Are you able to receive analogue fairly clearly using rabbits eatrs? If so, theres a good chance, you'll be able to get Saorview using them

Sorry for bumping an old thread but how do you tune in the digital channels manually? I've got this tv now and the auto tune only gets the regular channels (RTE1, RTE2, TV3 & TG4) but it finds nothing for digital or radio. Its connected to a rooftop aerial on my apartment building so I would have thought it'd pick them up by itself.
