Itunes problem downloading podcasts on iphone

    I'm having trouble downloading podcasts from my itunes on my iphone 4. I've had no problems doing so day in day out for the past few months since I got it, but the past week I keep keeping "error" messages saying the podcast cannot be played on the iphone.

    Has anyone else had a similar problem lately?

    I've done nothing differently than I always do.

    This problem is actually not resolved itself. Its something to do with the iphone imo. I recently got a new router installed as the old one had its day. The PC's in the house are working fine via wifi, but the iphone hasn't connected since the new router was installed.

    Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get connected through iphone 4 to my wifi? I've the correct key and network name assigned...and the wifi signal is there on the iphone, its just not connecting me :(

    Can't search on google, youtube vids won't play. Must be something up?

    "The podcast cannot be played on the iPhone" is an error you might get if you are trying to download a podcast larger than 20MB (the limit iTunes imposes on items downloaded through its store) over a cellular connection. You will need to either download it to the computer and sync or resolve the Wifi issue.

    Have you tried Forgetting the Wifi network in Settings > Wifi and reconnecting, or Resetting the Network Settings on the phone (Settings > General > Reset) and reconnecting? If its accepting the key and showing a signal, are you getting IP address details? Does your router implement anything like MAC address filtering do you know?

    I have the same problem with downloading podcasts and have not found a solution. I have an iPod 2g so I thought perhaps it was because it's a bit old now that it was happening.it's very annoying. If you come across any fix please let me know.

    Good luck with the wifi problem.

    several months ago, I started having a problem with certain podcasts. They all download, but some of the them do not play at all. Others are perfectly fine. The problem is that the ones that do not play are the ones I want the most. I do not download to itunes and then transfer to my phone. I have always downloaded directly to the phone. any ideas?
