Has anyone tried these routes? I'm new to cycling and did one of the trails near Nenagh covering about 40km. I had been using main roads up until this and it was great to get away from all the traffic. The country side on these routes is beautiful.
However parts of the road are covered in large potholes(some up to 4 inchs deep) and very uneven surfaces. I was shook all over the place on my light road bike. Perhaps the signs should warn that you should only tackle the routes on a mountain bike?

The signs for the routes were only put up 2 years ago. These roads have not seen a new surface in several years, how could anyone think it would be a safe to put cycle routes on such appalling roads?
On another note, I was chased by 5 dogs at different points a long the way. Was fine for me I have no real fear of dogs but many people do.
