    Hey lads and ladies. Got a small dillema. Im probably gettin new car after i sort out my IS 200 a little bit.

    So Im ripped between Subaru 2004 Legacy H6 3.0 Spec B Manual and 2006 Lexus IS 250 Manual.

    ++ of Spec B:

    4WD, LSD in rear axle, 245PS (!), Blinstein suspension.

    around 7k yoyos

    ++ IS 250:

    208PS

    RWD FTW

    around 10k yoyos

    So can you put some shade on what car i should go for ? Some1 has any experience with them ? Thx a lot anyway ;p

    I looked at the IS250 for quite sometime and then gave up. It's not that great as a drive the interior is a bit - I dunno - plasticy. Didn't feel to me like a real Lexus. Sure it's RWD with a 6-pot engine, but it's slow and kinda lazy with poor fuel consumption.

    Not idea of the Subaru but the 4WD and extra PS helps me :)

    I'd sooner the Subaru, but the manual would kill either car for me. There's an 04 Legacy 3.0 with auto in a backstreet dealer on Carzone - it has similar mileage, and i'd say you'd get it for €5000ish.

    I'd actually state the exact opposite of this. The IS actually handles very well. The suspension is decent, it soaks up rough road better than an E90, yet doesn't go all floppy in corners. The steering isn't as full of feedback as the E90's, but it's accurate and does offer a reasonable amount of feedback. The interior I think is very nice, streets ahead of the clinical look of the E90. Probably not as good as the C-class or new A4 interiors, but still good.
    The Subaru is also a very tidy handling car though, and does offer it's own unique driving experience. Best bet is to test drive both, but bear in mind that while the IS250 will be difficult to sell on, the 3 litre Subaru will be practically impossible.

    The is 250 auto is a nicer car to drive with the paddle shift, wouldnt buy an executive unless it had leather with multimedia pack,

    agree with all of the above, I'd also have an auto if I was buying the IS. Room in the rear is tight and the boot isn't massive.

    My mother has the above car without the multimedia pack. Lovely car, and that sat nav isn't missed.

    also a private seller of one in cork with black leather for similar mileage

    A friend of mine had a Spec B Legacy and I got a loan of it one day. I have to say it was one of the nicest cars I've ever driven. They are very smooth but really quick at the same time. I do remember his maintenance cost being huge even for scheduled servicing. That's about all I remember about them, not much help but there you go anyway.
