    Need to source a new alternator for a 2003 Saab 9-3 (2.2TiD D223L)

    Any recommendations??

    local auto spark should be able to recon your existing one :)

    It's herselfs car, I'm over in the UK at the moment. The pulley has been on the way out for the last while, think it's sat down altogether

    If it's just a clutch pulley that's come off, it can be replaced on its own and just reuse the existing alternator.

    Some of those Opel (used in the Saab btw) diesel engines have used a crank pulley that used to fly off sometimes. It isn't that one which has parted company rather than the alternator one??

    eBay is your friend. Bought a few alternator's from eBay in the past, brand new, no problems at all.
