Just did the uniform there for the missus, and got black streaks all over it. Woops. She's worn it to work. Now I have to find a way to clean the iron. Any ideas?

Brillo pad! Had to do it myself yesterday to get rid of the black crap on it! And after about 10 seconds of rubbing it was gone!
PS dont forget to clean it down with a wet cloth afterwards!

Sprinkle plenty of salt on brown paper (or any strong, plain paper). Have the iron really hot and 'iron' the salt, the marks will come off like magic.

I've tried crinkling tinfoil in a ball, then unroll it and iron out the creases. The dirt then sticks to the foil. Worked for me.
