Nikita: work better on cable?

Lets discuss the merits of this, imo Nikita is NOT working on network, and certainly not on The CW. It started out the gate really well, in fact it was the highest rated (overall viewers) show on the CW, for it's first 10 eps. or so it was pretty consistent around 3 million, but then it started to slip.

It hovered around the 2.9-2.6 million but slipped further...last week pulling only 1.8 million. It's female demo numbers have never been great, it always skewed male and older viewers.

Imo i think and have always thought Nikita was on the wrong network, i can't see any of the other nets picking it up, ergo....it screams cable!

Can you imagine how AWESOME Nikita would be on Starz!
Like have 13 episodes per season, up the per episode budget and just let loose! :D

Total creative freedom for the producers, adult action and violence, swearing and all that premium cable goodness!! ;)

I'm still confident Nikita *will* get a second season, but it might only get 13 eps. and be axed next season :(

I love the show, it's by far the best show for the 2010-11 season by far, but it's just NOT a CW show and i think it's being held back and needs that premium cable freedom. :)

It is by far not remotely the best show of 2010-2011, nor the best new show.I watched about five episodes before I got bored. Nearly anyone else I know who watched it (including more episodes) found the same. Might explain the numbers drop!

Go watch the Luc Besson Film of the same name.

Have seen this series but generally a 13 episode show is better than a 22 episode show however at times even the cable networks let series carry on for too long.

Sorry that is in italian or spannish :(

I will get the clip in french with english subs

It's not necessarily a bad show.. but it's a show that has been ruined by the network.

There's so many tacked on plotlines and storylines when they got a 22 episode renewal, and this pathetic focus on
a romance Nikita and Michael is tiresome
    .

It's one of the better shows this season, but it's been weaning big time since mid-season. And I don't think it's salvagable now, even on a different network.

As for the best show of 2010-11 - for me, 'The Killing' wins that hands down after just 3 episodes.

Starz? Lol, I don't need to see my Nikita cast naked week in week out. Saying that cable would be a good move, but it's never going to happen.

Canal + should produce a French version bring it back to its origin.

I was quite enjoying it, until I stopped and realised the not so subtle changes they made and "forgetting" about stuff and hoping we did the same, though maybe those will be covered in later episodes. I'll stick with it for now.
