orderd the 7 meg starderd bb and fone package
after alot of pissing about its finaly on , and and can ony recieve 2mb on my broadband

rang up eircom and they keep teling me i signed up for the 3 mb package as next generation isnt availabe yet in my area (didnt sign up for it )

rang to cancel as its not what i orderd and is no use to me and they tell me i have to pay a cancelation fee . the broadband isnt even active 24 hours yet

furter more , i only got the line fitted so i coud get the 7mb broadband , first i was told i was to far away from the wire exchange , lies as its outside my front door , my parents about 5 metres away from get the 7mb broadband

so why am i being told i orderd the 3mb when i orderd 7 and also im gething speeds of less than 2mb as the is apparntly all my line can take (got new line fitted so could get 7mb!!!!)
    and being charged for canceling

also the man who fitted the ine statted that i woud get the 7mb broadband no problem

    Hi antocann,

Tony asked me to follow this up for you. Sorry about the delay. At the moment we are trying to see if we have a recording of the call where you requested to cancel the broadband after the speed was tested.

This may take another few days.

    Thanks, Mark

    Hi antocann,

Tony sent a request to get the DSL strength on the line to be re-tested. This was done Friday evening 15/04/11 and the line is now showing a possible speed of between 5-7MB.

Can you re-set the router and try another speed test.

    Thanks, Mark

    Hi antocann,

Your sync needed to be increased too 3MB now the line was re-tested. So given you are on the 3MB home plus package you should be getting speeds between 2-3MB.

    Thanks, Mark

    Hi antocann,

As you are paying for the 3MB home plus package, the highest possible speed we can provide is 3MB. The download usage per month is 30GB per month.

    Thanks, Mark

    Hi antocann,

You are currently on the 3MB package with the talktime talker bundle, SEE: http://bit.ly/9L35fv

You upgrade to the home advanced package with chatter bundle, SEE: http://bit.ly/hv048U

However broadband support advised that the likely speed you will get is between 5-6MB as they ran a few checks and the line can not handle the fulll 7MB.

    Thanks, Mark

    Hi antocann,

Can you try a checklist we set up on the eircom forum - http://bit.ly/cTw6pU

I will escalate the issue if that does not help improve the speed.

    Thanks, Mark
