3 in 2 days would have been far worse! I'll do you a good deal on the baseball bat but can't help with the camera!

We had 3 of ours stolen last year!! Between Antis and pikeys id say... i have mine in the garfen now because im sick of it! Results in far lower catches tho, although its easy to check.
One member had one down at the GAA club thrown into the river. ANother larson trap was smashed up by Dubs from an estate and a serious arguement ensued!! "We were freeing the trapped bird, cruelty etc."
    Im f*$king sick of it!!

Be careful where you put the trail camera rugerman, if someone spotted it and that got lifted aswel it would be a fair dent to the pocket! I had two great years running mink traps until 2 of them got robbed and it would just put you right off it! Could you relocate to some where more isolated and not visible from the road???

it does not matter what it is, be it a trap or an ornament in your garden you cant leave anything down where you cant see it anymore, eventually it will go missing!
youll get antis smashing them, vandals who dont even know what they are because they have nothing better to do,and guys who know what they are and steal them to use it themselves.did you set the second in the same place as the first?is it in a busy place?

That sir is a voluntary admission to the offences of theft and criminal damage ( theft because the released magpies were your property by virtue of having trapped them and the muppets releasing them knowing they weren't theirs to release ).

i leave a small note stuck on the camera saying "if you are reading this you have just been caught by the other camera guarding this one"but they dont know if there is a second camera or not

What kind of area were the traps in?

What kind of ground is there?

There was a great thread on one of the trail camera websites on making an "artificial rock" to put your trail camera in. That, coupled with some slave IR flashes would make any camera near impossible to find. Even if they saw the glow from the slave flash, they wouldn't find the camera.

The photos were gone off that thread. But here's another type of idea http://www.chasingame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=9960&p=67234&hilit=making+an+artificial+rock#p67234

where had you the traps. thankfully we have never had our magpie trap taken, our call bird was released a few time alright, which is annoying although saying that the last callbird that got away was because of the father, went to feed him and managed to let him get out:rolleyes:. i wouldn't mind but we were only after getting him

could you not place the trap well out of sight a few fields away from a road in some willing farmers land, all farmers hate mags and grays, out of sight out of mind

i left it down a long dirty lane that only a jeep or a carisma would make it and the other was farmer down the road from my house 500yards i check them twice a day as im the only lad trapping on our club so they be birds in it every time so it had to be taken at night thanks for the baseball bat offer if it was antis maybe they would just release the birds or smash the cage but its probably some other thug within the club acting the goat it would make u think twice about making up a blast of them and driving around twice a day checking them

"probably some other thug within the club acting the goat"

Its hardly the boys in the club acting the maggot? We've fierce messers in our club (spreading pheasant feathers on your car etc. !), theyre not hiding them on you to wind you up?

The amount of larson traps that are stolen in this country, some one must have a shedload of them!
