    Good to support Irish,
Interesting story behind the founder in the about us section.

Would be nice if they did the printing for their products as well, presumably this will be coming on stream in the future.

I would have slight concerns that ordering things such as business cards with the premade logo's could look very generic. But none the less, could definitely appeal and prices look competitive.

Listened to him on The Last Word a few weeks back. Seems like a good idea.

Great video of him here, talking about the launch and sale of photobyte as well as launching tweak.

Definitely worth watching at least the first twenty minutes of it, fascinating insight and some great business lessons.

The one thing that put me off this was the guys bullishness about Irish this & Irish that, yet all the printing seems to be in the UK.

I've no problem with that except that in every PR stunt he has ahd, it pushes the Irish angle when in reality the Irish angle is just the office with a few staff.

Printing, especially short run digital isn't really labour intensive either. It's just a few people in a big room full of printing machines. The cost of a printed item is mostly the logistics of moving the various components from place to place. Ireland will never be an international leader imprinting for this reason.

He has walsh colour print up the road in Castleisland - they would match anything a UK printer could do.

As I said, I've no issue where it printed, the issue has been his very strong promotion of Tweak being Irish and telling people to support Irish companies when he bypasses all the Irish printers and goes to someone in the UK.

Might be worth sending him an email and asking him about it? From what i've been told he is very enthusiastic at responding to peoples queries.

The issue is price not quality. It is expensive to ship paper from northern Europe to the far western fringe and then ship it back.

Tweak needs partners who can cover large territories. Ireland is just not a large territory. Maybe a few of the smaller printers could go together?

Read my post - they can be printed in timbucktoo for all I care. Its the blatant over use of Irishness that the founder has been touting in all his pr that gives the impression that all the design & printing is done in Ireland and then uses a non Irish printer.

He gets the PR because of the "good news" Irish angle.

Walsh Colour print get everything printed in the UK? No wonder they are cheap, I used to use them years ago.

On the pitch, he has to have a sales pitch right? And he is employing Irish people, so whats the harm? You probably don't come from a sales background maxer, but you use whatever you can to make your product stand out as long as its not a lie. WCP employ a good few Irish people so he is providing employment. I wouldn't mind him saying that at all. Theres people out there who would say a lot worse to promote their business

I can assure you I come from a sales background and at a reaonably high level in consumer goods (UK brand manager and now my own company with 8% national market share in a different product)

Read my posts better - I'm asking why NOT Walsh colour print as they are based in Tweak's home county. Walsh do all their printing in Castleisland.

My gripe is Tweak's using the irish angle to get publicity, goes on about supporting Irish business and then does the opposite in his own business.

I prefer to be more honest in my dealings.
