    I am thinking of planting blackcurrants

    is there many varities to choose from?

    which are good and which are crap?

    I bought all mine from lidl..they were carrying just afew small buds but soon gre to three feet high after a couple of years and cropped like mad.

    The trick with blackcurrants is to give them planty of organic matter(manure or compost),keep them weed-free and make sure they get lots of sunlight..after that they look after themselves.
