UPC Box failing to Initialise/ Set-up

    Have black UPC DVR box (Thomson) for oer a year now.

    Discovered it in an 'initialilsation' mode when I went to use the TV today

    I select Ireland and enter a 3 digit code to initiate set-up. Code 124 seems to point it towards Dublin service.

    Box reports a strong signal but can't discover any channels. Just stays in 'set-up' mode.

    Check cables and re-boot of course - no avail.

    Any experience of this out there ?

    Thanks for the advice. I had same issue tonight and the tech support hadnt a breeze. Gave me an appointment for 5 days away, the place is a joke in terms of service, getting like NTL again. I guess thats what happens when the list of problems on your call centre script doesn't match the one the customer has.
