Need to change my car to Diesel as doing 2k a month and was thinking of a Ford Focus nearly all garages that I have called into seem to have UK imports. Just wondering would folks on here recommend one and whats the difference between focus style / Zetec?
Or any recommendation of another car in same price bracket?

Brought in a 2008 Focus Zetec 1.6 TDCi in January (new shape), nice car, running well, sports steering and suspension, great for my 100 mile round trip daily commute over west of Ireland local roads. Not too much else extra compared to the Style, nicer alloys, good front seat and the heated front windscreen is very handy on cold mornings.

Didn't save a fortune buying from a dealer in the UK, VRT was very reasonable though (less then €1500). But the car was in near perfect condition, not a scratch, full dealer service history and only motorway miles. The cars I checked out over here locally looked a bit tatty in comparison.

Just be award that there was a 1.8 TDCi and a 1.6 TDCi available in the Focus. 1.8 TDCi is an old engine with a narrow power band, 1.6 TDCi is a Peugeot/Citroen co designed engine and it alot more superior if a little less reliable than the 1.8 TDCi.
