Are people still paying €180 to play Ballybunion GC.

Is this a price for tourists - what are the locals paying.

    Looking to play in August

They have early bird rates of €140, but the regular rate of €180 includes your Old course round and a round on the Cashen course as well - which is equally spectacular, if in a slightly different way.

There may be other ways to get cheap rates, but I don't know them... try bribing a member!

Did this at the weekend and at that price it represents great value. Summer rates still seemingly pitched at the tourists though, but it'll still be rammed, so you can't blame them really. I'd imagine there might be a similar deal to the April one in Sept or Oct as the season winds down.

I have a fourball voucher. Wonder if the rates are 180euro, meaning its worth 720euro.......could i sell it for 500euro.

    No restrictions on it :)

Myself & 3 friends went down to Ballybunion last year in June. The guest house we stayed in sorted us out with rates below what the GC was offering at the time(they must have negotiated some deal), as we were staying for 2 nights the owner rang up the club on our last evening & got us out on the Cashen course for €25! PM me for details of the guest house which was excellent by the way, only a 5 minute walk from the clubhouse.
