How much did it cost and what are the advantages?

Oh yes how easy was it to put them in?

£215 from Komplett, Care of Amazon. I'm an apple engineer, so I managed it no problem. not saying it's difficult but there are a few things to watch out for. you void ur warranty for a start, and you can easily break cables, connectors etc. its not something an average person should do, but it just went straight in without difficulty.

    here's a guide.

just wish I had a better graphics card now!

Even as it is this MAC beats the Hell out of the PC I had.

I like to use the computer for films and music and it does the job fine.
1080P videos on Youtube really show it off.

indeed. and I never said it wasn't most people are happy with an i3 and don't need an i7, I bought it cause I could and wanted to try it myself. also I found the i3 to lad when using virtualization or playing games through steam etc. if it's just movies and internet it's fine. besides my imac looks pretty small next to a mac pro with 12 cores! but then who needs all that power aside from audio and video and a few power users!
