    Hi Guys,

It is the 30th of April (Saturday) in Cobh, Co Cork. Below is a rough timetable so you can start your planning. And sorry to those who have mailed looking for details, I promise to have it all sorted soon.

    Zuppy

    Timetable
15:00 – Final entries and equipment check
    15:30 – Safety briefing
    15:45 – First wave start
    15:55 – Second wave start
16:44 – High tide in Cobh

    Touring Class:
This is the class for kayakers, with only with a couple of previous paddling experiences. Accordingly, the race will be shorter than the racing class and will be run over a course of small laps within the bay (close to the shore) with a rescue boat in attendance. Suitable boats for this class include single person & double person sea kayaks. Boats should be sea worthy and commensurate with the level of experience of the paddlers. Race organizers will have final say on eligibility of craft.

This will be the most popular class within the race suiting kayakers with kayaks that fall within the following dimensions.

Standard singles - boats equal to or more than 50cm in width and up to 21ft in length
Standard doubles – boats equal to or more than 55cm in width, unlimited length
(The vast bulk of production seas kayaks fall into this category.)

    Racing (unlimited) class:
These classes are aimed at experienced competitive paddlers using high performance sea racing craft.

Racing singles - boats less than 50cm in width and unlimited length (e.g Ocean skis, ISLS Spec skis, racing sea kayaks)

Racing doubles – boats under 55cm in width & unlimited length (e.g Ocean racing double skis, double racing sea kayaks)
    OC-1 ocean racing outrigger boats.

    Race committees decision is final
