    Hi,

I'm wondering where wayleaves are visually recorded. I know it's on the original instrument but that map is old and worn, is it on any other map, such as the land registry maps? I ordered it but it wasn't shown there, only the right of way. Other than the folio and the map with the instrument, are wayleaves recorded anywhere else?

    Thanks very much in advance.

I believe that when they changed the system to the new maps that not all wayleaves were ported over. They should have been but were not. I have also seen it where the folio refers to a wayleave in yellow between point a and b on the map but there is no A and B on the map! No big deal if there's only one wayleave but confusing if there is more than one on the map.

Write into the customer service section in the Land Registry and they should update the map and issue you with the updated map free of charge (presuming you already purchased a map where the wayleave is not shown).

Also, I'm pretty sure that they should be on the usual copy folio and map and that there's no necessity to get a special features map to show same, although I'm not 100% on that.

Thanks for that help. Yes, the wayleave is described in the folio in text form but just not shown on the actual map. I will write to them.

So in other words there is such a thing as a folio map with a wayleave shown on it, and not just special maps? I've never seen one before but it does make sense.
