    Can anyone recommend a good camera to record the road ahead from inside the car? Mainly just for recreational purposes (although it would be handy to have for protection in the event of an 'incident'). I'm looking for something with a very good picture & smooth frame rate - the kind if thing you'd use to record your laps on a track etc, not something that records crappy Crimewatch footage.

    I've been looking at reviews of the GoPro, looks fairly decent. Anyone here have this? Any other recommendations?
