I am looking to get a Nokia Carkit installed for my Nokia 6230i - the kit I want to get installed is a Nokia Ck-7W with the pop-port cradle. Is there anyone supplying these anymore? I am based in Roscommon and Galway. What kind of money would you be talking about I wonder?

I don't see a data cable on that image for the phone cradle, but the rest looks pretty much the same

there is not one on Ebay... precious enough. I can get them on amazon alright for £66 but I want to get it integrated into the car speakers rather than using the OEM speaker. I have a parrot bluetooth kit in the car at the minute but I am not happy with it. I have always preferred the Nokia kit that I had in my old car.

Would I need to buy another loom for the kit to integrate it properly into the speakers - I know the OEM loom will mute the audio. I have a Volkswagen Passat (B6 Model)

I was searching too literally ... Nokia Ck-7w revealed none. Loads under CK7W

well spotted, the control box on the ck7w is bumpy and the control pad is usually silver. all the bits are interchangable anyway aren't they.

I assume the op linked to that because it came up on google for ck7w

I had one of those nokia ones at one stage. It was pretty much faultless with a nokia phone including voice dialing etc. Why do people rave about parrot kits?

They are a great kit whilst using a older Nokia phone but if you upgrade to a newer phone it wont be as compatible as the older one.

The Parrot kit allows you to update the software for newer phones. I think the CK3100 is the better one.

The nokia ck15 is more comparable with the 3100 parrot, although its not as updatable. I think the nokia is more subtle and the separate keypad yoke means you can position it somewhere handy down near the armrest and have the screen on the dash. The nokia also has selectable background colours to match your dash.
