Con, I appreciate your enthuasism, but lets not put the cart before the horse...... the supply of eggs takes priority over the use of the incubator !!

Wouldn't mind some myself, but inci is currently filled with Aylsbury duck eggs, due out Easter Saturday.
Whats the latest you'd be wanting to hatch phesants for this season, whats the incubation period ?

    Hi arrowloopboy,

Incubation period is between 23-25 days. Birds should be older than 7 weeks before placing into release pens. They are at ideal weight at 22-24 weeks so you can work it back from there as to when the latest date is to hatch them so you have adult birds on the 1st Nov. We like to release ours once the corn/wheat is cut in Sept but others release much earlier/later.
    Lots of info online....

    Rgds,

    Mitch
