    Splutters or kicks or power drops at low revs? Anyone any insight. I am asking on behalf of an non internetted friend.

    First thing I'd look at is a coil pack - in fact, i'd put money on it!

    Thanks Gyppo, he says a brand new coil pack was put in in February. He was told it was a Ford one too.

    the fuel pump might be knackered, may cause these symptoms. anymore info like smoke from exhuast or strange idle

    Fuel filter or fuel pipes could be blocked or even a blocked cat convertor

    Just a few ideas
