    Friend is looking at one of these, about 150k on the clock. There is an ecu problem with it at the minute. Around the 3k mark. Anyone any thoughts?

    There could be any number of issues with the car, supercharger, injectors, sensors, fuelling, ecu, that's before you get to gearbox, suspension, body computers.

    My guess is that the repair bill could be huge and the present owner is cutting his losses.

    Could also be a bargain.

    Computer trouble on merc - walk away.

    Moust of the times you will end up to go to dealers for ecu or anther parts.

    It will mean your friend bending over and merc dealership and taking it in as a big boy!

    I'm of the opinion that if this was a cheap fix then it would already have been by the seller who would in turn be asking for more money for it.

    My bro has one and I effin hate it. The early ones are b'tards for throwing errors. It has early stage widely known issue with the TC. It's had the common seat sensor (NCT fail) issue and knackered UCA ball joint on front suspension (also NCT fail).

    Nice car to drive but the last 2 issues alone would cost over 1200 at a dealer. He got a quote of c. 900 iirc for the sensor work.
