Reset Radio Code through OBD-II?

    03 Vectra with a Siemens VDO unit here, I have the Car Pass with the radio code but it's a no-go and only 3 attempts left on the unit.

    The unit is stuck in the dash and I've been to Opel who can't budge it neither, and can't get the serial (the car pass serial matches the chassis serial, maybe the unit is from another car???) .

    Is it possible to use software to reset through OBD?

    What other options do I have?

    sounds like opel didn't try very hard.

    easiest option is still to get the unit out of the dash i reckon

    Sounds like you have model cdr 500 or cdr2005. I have repaired and coded dozens of these. They can be awkward at times to remove but with patience it will come out, It can only be decoded fron its internal eprom and not from any external means.
