    Minor incident? Well, i suppose the wing didnt come off:D. Comair turned through 90 degrees.

    As it says at the end. "Thats why you keep your seatbelt on till the aircraft has stopped come to a complete halt!"

    Good video of it. Didn't see it happening and heard it was just a clip! Wouldnt of liked to been on the comair flight.

    It will be a big pay day for lawyers, can you see all the whip lash claims, I wonder whose fault it was ground control or pilot error.

    It's Airbuses fault, they made her too big :D:pac::P . .
    Could be hard to claim if you were standing up, not following crews instrustions

    Could have easily been another Tenerife type catastrophe, they can count themselves lucky that the fuel filled wing on the A380 didn't rip apart on impact and burst into flames. These incursions are not taken lightly and no doubt there will be some serious grilling.

    There is going to be unbelievable amounts of damage done to both planes and further to that both planes will need extensive inspection work carried out on them. Id imagine the main landing gear may even be damaged on the CRJ.

    Hard to know who was at fault. The ATC tells the captain to "give way" to traffic in opposite direction. But it seems the controller was going to say to hold short at first. This miscommunication, especially speaking to somebody who doesnt speak english natively, may have caused some confusion.

    But at the same time, surely the captain would have seen the rear of the CRJ and doubt that his wing was going to clear it.

    Will be interesting to see where blame is proportioned on this one.

    THat would have been severe enough for people near the back of the smaller plane. being shunted from zero to pretty much taxi speed instantly.

    Not the first time this has happened with the A380, I think it clipped the terminal building in Bangkok also with the test planes before it was rolled out to the operators.

    None of the instructions overheard on the clip apply to the accident in question. If you look at the airport diagram, the 'give way to oncoming traffic' location is much further down the taxiway, presumably landing traffic coming off of 23.

    There was no miscommunication. As far as Comair knew, they were clear the taxiway, as far as Air France new, the taxiway was clear, and as far as Ground knew, there was no chance of collision (Or someone would have said something). Lots of people making assumptions, and nobody actually checking.

    My thinking is that the AF crew is going to take most of the heat on this one, split 80-20 with ground.
