I bought 2 weather loaches for my tank last week and found one dead on the floor this morning, is it possible for them to jump out? I don't want to get more if there's a possibility of the same happening again.

how are you oxygenating the water in your tank

With an airpump and filter. It bubbles out just under the surface. I had 2 before but never had anything like this happening. Was thinking of getting a piece of acrylic as a lid but it'll take a little while to get the right shape cut into it. If he was an unusually suicidal loach I'd get another but if it's a regular occurrence then leave it until I get a lid
