Sell or scrap?

Have a 98 Mondeo with 116k on the clock (engine replaced at 87k). Failed the NCT on the emissions also the clutch is slipping. Advice is that the catalytic convertor is the likely cause of the high emission figures. Decided it wasn't worth putting any money into it and got myself a new car.
Is it worth trying to sell it or should I just sell it for scrap?. The tax is paid up until the end of July so I could claim that back if I scrapped it. Anyone know places in Dublin that would pay for scrap?
