I worked in one of their stores for a while, all be it as a 'sales assistant' - I hated it with a passion.

It's run in quite an old fashioned way, with the hierarchy in Belfast ringing on a daily basis barking orders and generally giving out about petty things. It reminded me a bit of my experience working in Dunnes Stores about ten years ago.

Having said that it was decent enough pay (I was on about 11 euro an hour plus double time on Sundays) and the management in the particular store that I worked for were sound enough, though they were constantly under pressure.

The interview I had was pretty basic but they expected that I knew a little of the history of the store, they also got me out on the floor and I had to 'recommend' them a pair of curtains.

It was a stop-gap job for me, got me through college for a bit, so don't be put off by what I have said. As a supervisor you would be on pretty good money and I'd say you wouldn't have to deal with half the crap that the part-time staff do. Best of luck in the interview :)
