Hi there, I have just bought a pair of Christian Louboutins. I have just worn them once and the red sole is slightly damaged now. Has anyone got just the bottom part resoled? If so can you let me know where you got this done, (Cork preferable) Thanks....

You should call Brown Thomas and ask them to recommend a place for you - they'll probably have a few places that they would recommend! Are you talking about the part of the sole underneath the ball of the foot? That'll always get damaged when you start wearing them. If you look at any girl wearing CLs and they kick their feet up, you'll see that part of the red has come off. But you only notice it if you've actually exposed the ball of your foot, you won't see them otherwise because that part is not seen when you are wearing them ...

The same thing happened to mine..but its entirely unavoidable for the sole to get scratched unless you never wear them, or only wear them indoors! The arch is still perfect which is the bit you can see when youre wearing them anyway.

I would only get them resoled if the sole was actually damaged, or maybe when the red is totally worn away, not just scratched from normal wear. Even then I would only leave them into a specialist repair shop...maybe Brown Thomas could recommend somewhere?

Thanks for the info, its just the part under the ball of my foot thats only slightly damaged so I think Im going to leave them a while. If they start to get worse I will give a call into BT's to see if they can recommend someone to resole them.

This is sad (I'm a man and a proper hetro) but I'm sure I say somewhere on the telly a young Irish lady who had invented a stick on to these shoes so that they looked new
Sorry but no idea of the name
In any event can I just confirm that those red sole shoes are fairly sexy looking things

I believe Tara Leather do resoles in red, but I haven't got mine done (partly because I can really only wear them indoors. I still have hope I will conquer them)

I'm not really into it myself, because I think it's a bit of a rip off (I saw a pair of Simple knockoffs in Buffalo at the weekend I'd have bought if the sole wasn't red! I think it's a bit cheap), but Rosso Solini is the Irish company making red stickers for soles (there's a thread on here somewhere where her dad goes a bit mental at people for calling it a rip off). Louboutin is apparently going hell for leather after people ripping off his signature style tho so not sure what, if any, impact it will have on that company.

Beyonce was pictured recently at a Nicks game with the red worn off the sole. If it's good enough for her...
