Looking for a good restaurant for Sat late afternoon lunch dinner in Dublin with nice sea view seating....for a special occasion.

    Any recommendations?

Seen good reviews on Toscana in Dun Laoighre.

Also havent been to Oscar Taylors in years but always remember it was good food and had window seats

Oscar Taylors is okay but you also have Cruzzos in Malahide - think thats a sea view too.

The view in Oscar's is a bit meh, Cruzzo's in Malahide has a great view, though Aqua in Howth has spectacular views.

Seapoint in Monkstown or 40 Foot in Dun Laoghaire?

    Purple Ocean Restaurant, Dun Laoghaire?

Never been in, but must have sea views surely.

Another vote here for Cruzzo's in Malahide - whilst not really sea views you do have seating right above the marina & you can pretend for those few moments your filthy rich :p

If you do choose Toscana in DL, if you ask them nicely, they will hold the bay window table, which is kinda in a little alcove with lovely sea views. Only one table has a good view from there, so book if you want it.

Aqua in Howth has nice sea views especially now with the longer evenings

Yeah, if you get a window seat you're pretty much over the water

Aqua I think has a good one, certain times of year the sun sets into the sea as if you were somewhere west coast!!

Another vote for Aqua here. Beautiful views, and food is good too.

no, as far as I recall it has quite high windows and curtains, the upper part probably does though

    +1 Toscana

Another vote for Aqua in Howth. Was there for the first time a few weeks ago and where we were seated I could have sat all day, brilliant views.
