Dodgy petrol?

An engine warning light came on in my car a few days ago, car was a bit sluggish but driveable - then today, same happened to my wife's car - warning light but cutting out constantly so not driveable. Bringing them both to a mechanic this afternoon. But we realised we had filled both cars in the same petrol station just a day apart. Could it be dodgy petrol? Anyone else have any problems? (west side of the city)

Was it a Texaco by any chance?

Maybe dirt in the fill Of petrol or in your tank if you let both of them into the red after quite dome time of avoiding doing so

    Just a possibility

My car has really started acting up of late. It's turning but it just won't start sometimes. Definitely seems like a fuel problem to me. Can you pm me the garage name (if that's allowed?) Op please? I have never had this problem with my car up until recently and I found it very strange.

Car could be missfiring if it continues to happen see a mechanic. Your filter may need changing or your spark plugs might need changing
