Kayaks!

Hey Boardsies,

I'm looking to get myself and a mate a couple of Kayaks, i'm new to cork thou and dont know where to look, would prefer to pick up some cheaper 2nd hand ones,

Any ideas, nothing on adverts, on donedeal much.

The union Chandlery over by penrose warf would have them but having been there in the past I would very much doubt you'll get a reasonable price.

If you do manage to find somewhere with a good deal press let us know as I'd like to get one myself this summer.

If you are looking for new gear then there is Munster dive and canoe which is just around the corner from Lenoxs and where the UCC club I was in used to get most of their gear.

Second hand gear is harder to find though, there is a section on boards for canoeing and kayaking so I'd start there. Usually a lot of gear is sold within the clubs as there isn't much of a market beyond that.

I ordered the bilbao kayak on tuesday at 3.30 and it arrived in my house lunch time the next day!

I'm very happy with it. It's massive and came with paddle and a nifty seat. I now need to get a roof rack so I can get it into the water at some stage.
