So, I'm sure I've seen the ad on the likes of Comedy Central (yeah, I just admitted that I watch some of their programming.....cof).

Just wanted to poke the comedic-parts of the films forums collective consciousness and see if you agree\disagree with their choices.

Back in February we let you know about the nominees for Comedy Central and MTV Networks night for honoring the best comedy films, actors, TV series, digital content and stand-up acts with the 1st Annual Comedy Awards. Well, the ceremony (which was pre-taped months ago) finally aired last night with plenty of laughs, but not much pomp and circumstance for the film related awards. Since those are the only ones we're concerned with here (television just isn't our bag), you can find the full list of winners for all film related categories below, to find out if your favorite comedies and their stars were able to snag any awards.

Here are the winners for all the film categories (for a complete list of Comedy Awards winners, head here):

    BEST COMEDY FILM:
    The Other Guys

    BEST ANIMATED COMEDY FILM:
    Toy Story 3

    BEST COMEDY ACTOR - FILM:
Zach Galifianakis - Dinner for Schmucks

    BEST COMEDY ACTRESS - FILM:
    Tina Fey - Date Night

    BEST COMEDY SCREENPLAY:
    Hot Tub Time Machine

    BEST COMEDY DIRECTOR - FILM:
Edgar Wright - Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

The entire acceptance speeches for both Toy Story 3 and Scott Pilgrim vs the World weren't aired, but it's great that the phenomenal and funny films from Pixar and Edgar Wright were given some love. Honestly, the only two film related awards given at the Comedy Awards that received real attention were Tina Fey for her work on Date Night and The Other Guys victory (which brought dozens of the "producers" on stage to accept the award). Unfortunately Zach Galifianakis wasn't there to accept his award (though Will Ferrell tried to take it). The Comedy Awards brought some entertainment, but I wish they would've let more of the winners in film have their time in the spotlight. Thoughts on the winners?

To be honest I haven't seen Scott Pilgrim as it doesn't really appeal to me and I agree with Zach getting the award, but not for that film!

The rest of the list (excluding Toy Story 3) just seem like the worst choices to get the award. Terrible films.
