    Hi all,

I'm trying to help a friend out and do an oil + filters change on his 2000 merc c230 kompressor. I always service my own jammer and would usually have the haynes manual to get the specs before i start, so i have a few small questions.

How many litres of oil does she take,

Is 0w-40 fully synth the right grade,

I havent looked into the engine bay yet so where is the oil filter placed and is it a of the cartridge type.

I'm just going to do oil and air filter so any other tips would be great

Oil listed is 5w40, Merc spec 223.2 or 224.1

    5.5 litres.

From memory the filter is a paper filter and is at the right rear of the engine as you look in.
